Community Partners
In each city, New City Parks collaborates with local community partners in every step of our process, from selecting sites to participatory design, financing, and construction decisions through to stewardship plans and programming for each newly revitalized green space. These partners include faith-based organizations, youth recreation groups, school districts, arts organizations, municipal departments, environmental education organizations, community advocacy groups, environmental justice groups, after-school and child-care organizations among others.

The hands-on lessons allowed students to use their senses to identify the herbs in the garden. They even made their very own lavender sachets.
