 Community Partners

In each city, New City Parks collaborates with local community partners in every step of our process, from selecting sites to participatory design, financing, and construction decisions through to stewardship plans and programming for each newly revitalized green space. These partners include faith-based organizations, youth recreation groups, school districts, arts organizations, municipal departments, environmental education organizations, community advocacy groups, environmental justice groups, after-school and child-care organizations among others.

During today’s field trip our students learned about the medicinal and culinary benefits of cultivating herbs. The hands-on lessons allowed students to use their senses to identify the herbs in the garden. They even made their very own lavender sachets. Our students absolutely loved every minute of it and so did the staff. What an incredible experience! Kudos to New City Parks and City Green for an incredible day!
